Stacy’s Priorities
Clear, principled positions on the issues that matter most to Albertan families.
Rural Crime & Public Safety
Rural Albertans deserve to feel safe in their homes, on their land, and in their communities.
Today, too many families are being left to fend for themselves while repeat offenders cycle through the justice system. Stacy believes in stronger, better-resourced rural policing, laws that respect the right of law-abiding citizens to defend themselves and their property, and a justice system that locks criminals away instead of releasing them back onto our streets.
If you work hard, play by the rules, and contribute to your community, the system should protect you, not the criminals who target you.
A Fair Deal for Alberta
Albertans contribute enormously to this country, yet too often decisions affecting our economy, industries, and livelihoods are made far away by people who do not understand Alberta, its needs, or our contribution.
Stacy believes Alberta must assert its constitutional authority, defend its resources, and ensure decisions affecting this province are made with Alberta's interests first. Alberta deserves to be treated as a full partner, not as a resource bank or an afterthought.
Most importantly, Albertans should have the right to decide, through a democratic vote, what they want the future of their province to look like. Decisions of that magnitude should be made by the people who live and work here, not imposed from elsewhere.
A strong Alberta requires confidence, leverage, and the resolve to stand firm, demand fairness, and refuse arrangements that hold us back. If Alberta wins, all of Canada wins.
Economic Freedom & Opportunity
Alberta was once the place where hard work was rewarded, risks were worth taking, and young people could afford to build something of their own, often doing a little better with each passing generation.
That opportunity is becoming harder to access, especially in rural Alberta. Rising costs, overregulation, and decisions made in Ottawa have made it harder to start, grow, and sustain businesses of all kinds, from farming and trades to your local restaurant or even the corner store.
Stacy wants to bring back the Alberta Advantage by supporting economic freedom, reducing barriers for small businesses, and creating conditions that allow entrepreneurs, farmers, tradespeople, and families to succeed. When rural Alberta thrives, the entire province benefits.
Immigration
Growth in Alberta is difficult without immigration.
Ottawa's lack of foresight and management has created a crisis impacting service levels and costing the province millions to build out infrastructure, while simultaneously creating staffing pressures in healthcare, policing, and education. Recognizing the issue they created, Ottawa chose a political response: do nothing. They have abandoned those they invited, leaving them to wait years with no response to applications, forcing good people into stressful situations or having to work without permits to survive. Ottawa has left these people without a reasonable path to citizenship, creating a type of societal and economic purgatory.
This is inexcusable and inhumane, and it could have been avoided. People matter, not politics.
Stacy supports Alberta taking control of its immigration, a right granted to the provinces under the Constitution. We can then select the number of immigrants who align with our economy, society, and needs. This will help manage growth in a structured way, without overloading infrastructure or service capabilities, while providing those we invite a clear, achievable path to becoming fully contributing citizens.
Parental Choice in Education
Parents know their children best.
Stacy believes families should have real choice in their children's education, whether that means public, separate, charter, private, or homeschooling. Education systems should serve students and parents, not political agendas or bureaucracy.
Strong communities are built when parents are empowered and schools focus on teaching skills, values, and critical thinking that prepare children for real life.
Accountability Pledge
Leadership means accountability.
Stacy pledges to be accessible, to listen, and to act. He believes elected representatives work for the people, not the other way around. That means clear communication, honest explanations, and follow-through on commitments.
If something is not working, it should be fixed. If leadership fails, it should be challenged. Politicians should be held to the same standards as any other job with real responsibility and accountability.
